About Us
The Albert Gallatin Area School District serves more than 3,790 students in eight buildings. The District serves the boroughs of Masontown, Fairchance, Point Marion, Smithfield as well as German, Springhill, Georges, and Nicholson townships.
Superintendent Mr. Christopher Pegg and the School Board place a strong emphasis on strategic planning and community engagement. Through such planning and engagement, the Albert Gallatin School District has made recent building improvements, including a grass-playing stadium, a re-surfaced competition track, and a new field house. Technology has also been upgraded with the installation of several “Classrooms for the Future” that include mobile laptop carts/digital whiteboards, printers, and distance learning labs that enables teaching to various buildings simultaneously.
