2022 Comprehensive Needs Assessment: As this school year is quickly approaching the end, we are already beginning to plan for the next.  We believe that your input is very important in our efforts to meet the academic, emotional and social needs of our students for the next school year and the years that follow.   That said, we have developed a survey to gather your opinions.  We will use the results to build upon our current strengths while working on identified areas of needed improvement.

 Substitute Teaching Candidates must submit the following: Note: You may apply to be a substitute teacher if you have a Bachelor’s Degree in any program of study. 

NOTE: COLLEGE STUDENTS CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN A TEACHER PREPARATION PROGRAM THAT HAVE MET A MINIMUM OF 60 SEMESTER HOURS MAY APPLY TO BE A PROSPECTIVE TEACHER SUBSTITUTE. MORE DETAILS WLL BE MADE AVAILABLE, UPON REQUEST.

  • Standard State Application and Resume, completed in full
  • All Transcripts- Official and Unofficial
  • Act 34 Clearance (Criminal History Check)-within 5 years
  • Act 151 Clearance (Child Abuse Clearance)-within 5 years
  • Act 114 The Federal Criminal History Record – (FBI Fingerprint-within 5 years)
  • Act 168 Release (Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure)
  • Act 126 Child Abuse Recognition and Mandated Reporting Certificate
  • Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification Form - PDE 6004 
  • PA Teaching Certification(s) or Letter from Dean of Certifying Institution
  • Proof of passing any appropriate National Teacher Exams
  • TB Tine Test or Chest X-Ray Results-within 2 years
  • (3) Letters of Recommendation
  • TIMS Emergency Day-to-Day Certificate – see below for link to apply. You must apply if you do not hold valid PA Teaching Certificate.
  •  Pre-Employment Drug Testing (Policy 451.1 –Adopted 11/14/18).  Employer Authorization Form will be provided.  No cost to the applicant.

Substitute Custodian, Substitute Cafeteria, Substitute Secretary, Substitute Security, Substitute Teacher’s Aide, and Substitute Nurse candidates must submit the following.  

  • Albert Gallatin Application, completed in full-online or available at central office

Hourly/Daily Substitutes Rates

2021-2022

Teacher                                            $120.00 per day
Janitor                                              $13.00 per hour
Secretary                                         $13.00 per hour
Cafeteria Worker                             $11.00 per hour (3 hour shift guaranteed)
Bus Monitor                                     $12.00 per hour
Classroom Aide                               $10.00 per hour
Health Room Aide/Nurse                 $22.00 per hour
