Flexible Instruction

Flexible Instruction Day Information

What is a Flexible Instruction Day?

A Flexible Instructional Day (FID) is a program available to public schools to be used as an alternative approach to delivering instruction if a circumstance arises that prevents a school from providing in-person instruction.

Online, LIVE instruction on a Flexible Instruction Day takes place from 9-1PM that day. Students must log-on to their teacher’s Google Meet session to be counted present that day. All teachers are available for additional, individual student assistance and/or support from 1-3PM.

Because we never know when a Flexible Instruction Day will be called, students need to take their Chromebooks to and from school each day, and charge their Chromebooks each evening.

If a Flexible Instruction Day is called, students will:
1. Log onto their Chromebooks.
2. Join the Google Meet for their homeroom teacher.
*If you do not know your teacher’s Google Meet code, please see the list below.
3. Specials: Students will log into their specials at their assigned time following the schedule below.
*Example: If today is Wednesday, please follow Wednesday’s schedule.
4. Participate in class activities and turn in assignments before returning to in-person instruction.
