REGISTRATIONWelcome to the Albert Gallatin Area School District
Due to the sudden closure of our schools, the District was unable to host its traditional in-person registration at each of our elementary schools. While our schools remain closed, we have developed a way for parents/guardians to enroll their child online directly into our student information system. This important step will help us to gather much of the basic and required information needed to assist us in planning for the 2020-2021 school year. As a parent/guardian of a newly enrolled student, we encourage you to frequently visit our District’s website for regular updates and information regarding our schools and programs. We anticipate a great deal of information will need communicated to families throughout the summer relative to the re-opening of Pennsylvania schools and guidelines for such. As you complete the registration process, be advised the importance of
reliable contact information. We
ask that you notify the school, as soon as possible, of any changes to information
entered during the enrollment process.
AGE
REQUIREMENT A child must be five (5) years of age on or
before August 31, 2020. To be eligible
for first grade a child must be six (6) years of age on or before August 31,
2020.
Please note: Children
currently enrolled in an Albert Gallatin Area School District Kindergarten
class do not need to register for Grade 1.
SCHOOL OF
ATTENDANCE (New!) Beginning
in the 2020-2021 school year, all Kindergarten students, as well as any student
new to the district, must enroll in the school designated for the area of their
residence within the district. This
policy does not include those enrolling who have a sibling currently attending
a school other than school of residence. To verify the school of your

ENROLLMENT
PROCESS (New!) Beginning in the 2020-2021 school year,
all incoming Kindergarten students AND any students new to the district will
begin the enrollment process using the online registration portal (SAPPHIRE). In the event a parent/guardian does NOT have
access to a computer or internet, each school in the District has a Parent
Center set up for registration.
The Parent Center will be open:
9:30 – 11:30 and 12:30 – 2:30 Daily (PLEASE CALL TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT)
PRE-K Counts
and Head Start Students : Parents/Guardians who have completed forms prior to our District’s closure, are kindly asked to drop them off at the school of your residence. The school will be accepting them beginning:
May 26th – June 5th at the following times: 9:30-11:30 and 12:30-2:30 Daily
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS… Registration will be complete only after the
following (3) documents have been provided:
1) A copy of your child’s official “Certificate of Birth” from the state in which the child was born (not the certificate
from the hospital).
2) Residency Verification (must
present one of the following)

Deed to home
=
Rental Agreement
=
Mortgage Receipt
=
Current Utility Bill
3) Immunization Record (must
include the following FOR
ATTENDANCE IN ALL GRADES SCHOOL REGULATIONS):
ü 4 doses of tetanus, diphtheria, and
acellular pertussis (1 dose on or after the 4th birthday)*
ü 4 doses of polio (4th dose on or
after the 4th birthday and at least 6 months after previous dose
given)**
ü 2 doses of measles, mumps, rubella***
ü 3 doses of hepatitis B
ü 2 doses of varicella (chickenpox) or
evidence of immunity
* Usually given as DTP or DTaP or if medically advisable, DT or Td
** A fourth dose is not necessary if the third dose was administered at age 4 years or older
and at least 6 months after the previous dose
*** Usually given as MMR
