The District Track
Meet will be held on May 15 at the Albert Gallatin High School. A rain day has been scheduled for May
16. Students involved in this program
will have information sent home in the near future.
registration will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018. To eliminate an unnecessary wait, Plava
Elementary is requesting that students with their last name beginning with the
letter A through M attend registration in the morning. Those students with their last names
beginning with the letter N through Z are asked to register in the
afternoon. Registration will be held
from 9:00-2:30. For your convenience, registration packets may be picked up at
any time prior to registration in the school office. Packets are also available
on the main page of the District website. This is a lengthy process so please
anticipate wait time.
Students are aware
that their opportunities to accumulate points for the Star Store is coming to
an end. The Star Store will be held on Monday,
May 7. Thank you for continuing to
encourage your child to become better readers. Special thanks goes out to our PTO and Mr. Dunham (librarian) for making
our program a success.
If your contact
information has changed recently, please make it a priority to change it in our
office. Please contact Mrs. Sumey with
your updated information at 724-737-5424. In the event of an emergency, we need your latest telephone information.

Track and Field
Day and Fun Day will be held on May 17th. A rain day has been scheduled for May 18th. Please put sunscreen on your child and have
him/her bring a water bottle with their name on it. We also highly suggest that they wear play
clothes. More information will be sent
home at a later date.
and Found Reminder
Please have your
child check the lost and found box in the cafeteria for any item(s) that may be
missing. Unclaimed items will be sent to
Goodwill to be recycled.
Day of School / Turn Around Day
The last day of school for students is Friday, June 6. Students will arrive at school during their
regularly scheduled time. Homeroom teachers will take attendance and pass
out report cards. Student pick up
dismissal will begin at 9:10.
Bus dismissal will begin around 10:00 – 10:15.
cards will not be distributed from the office before 9:00. If your child is absent
on the last day of school, you may pick up their report card in the office after
11:00 a.m. Please note that if your
child owes money for their cafeteria account or for a lost or damaged book
(including Library books) their report card will be held in the office until
the debt is paid. Report cards not picked up by June 14 will not be
