FUN DAY/TRACK AND FIELD DAY

Fun Day is scheduled for May 16thand Track and Field Day for May 29th.  Please make sure students are dressed appropriately (socks and tennis shoes). Please also make sure students wear socks and tennis shoes on both days.  You may apply sunscreen, at home, prior to students reporting to school, if you wish.  Please see FUN DAY information sheet attached.

DRESS CODE

As warmer weather is approaching, please be sure students are adhering to the dress code policy, as stated in the student handbook.  If you have any questions regarding student dress, please feel free to contact the office.  It is also recommended that students wear sandals with a strap around the heel, for safety purposes, as they will be outside playing for recess during the warmer weather.

SPRING PROGRAM

The grades, dates and times for the spring program are listed on the May calendar.  If you have any questions regarding the spring program, please feel free to contact the office.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

We, at A.L. Wilson Elementary, value student safety. Please be advised that we will have monthly fire drills and periodic evacuation/lock down/severe weather drills. Administrators, teachers and AG school security will continue to review these procedures with students.

Also, Albert Gallatin school security will be rotating through the building to ensure school and student safety, including parking lots for student drop-off in the morning and student dismissal at the end of the day.

Please be reminded, there is to be NO SMOKING on school property.  Thank you

DISMISSAL PROCEDURES

If a change in dismissal procedures for your child must occur, please send a note to school, with your child, in the morning detailing who will be picking up your child for the day.

Phone calls will only be taken in the case of an emergency to change dismissal procedures.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep all of our students safe.

Please also be reminded, those individuals picking up students, in the pick-up line, MUST remain in their cars at all times.

Please also be reminded that there is a NO SMOKING policy on school property. Thank you for your cooperation.

Thank you to all of our A.L. Wilson Families and the community for your support this school year!

Mrs. Baker

WE WISH YOU ALL A SAFE, RESTFUL AND FUN SUMMER VACATION!
